What is penarol uru?

Penarol is a Uruguayan sports club based in Montevideo. It was founded in 1891, and is one of the oldest and most successful clubs in Uruguayan football history. The club has won a record 50 Uruguayan Primera Division titles, as well as five Copa Libertadores and three Intercontinental Cup titles.

Penarol's home stadium is the Estadio Campeon del Siglo, which has a capacity of 40,000 spectators. The club has a passionate fanbase, known as "Manyas," and has a rivalry with Montevideo Wanderers and Nacional.

Aside from football, Penarol also has successful teams in basketball, volleyball, and futsal. The club is known for its strong youth academy, which has produced several notable players including Diego Forlan, Fernando Morena, and Luis Suarez.
